What we do.
Kirk & Granite is a theatre producing and general management company based in London and New York. Founded by James Steel and Bryan McCaffrey, we develop new work, lead productions and help international partners bring shows to the UK and US, combining creative ambition with the practical expertise to deliver it.
General management
We put the budget together, negotiate the contracts and run the production’s finances and administration, from rehearsals through to the final settlement.
Budgets and cashflow. Payroll and royalties. Company management. Venue agreements, insurance and production compliance.
Executive producing
We help work out how a production can happen: the scale, the partners, the venue and the financial plan. We stay involved as those decisions become contracts, rehearsals and a run.
Producing and development
We produce our own work and co-produce with others, including new musicals, revivals and productions moving between the UK and US.
Marketing, audiences & ticketing
Social media, paid campaigns, creative content, ticketing strategy and revenue management through SteelHouse.
London and New York.
James is based in London; Bryan is in New York. You work directly with us, whether you need a general manager for a London run or a producing partner across the Atlantic.
